Howard Bentley Buick GMC (a General Motors Company) joins United Way of Marshall County Day of Caring for the fifth consecutive year. During the community-wide initiative that connects volunteers and resources with local agencies and schools needing support, Howard Bentley Buick GMC assisted their adopted projects, United Way of Marshall County and CAJA of Marshall County (Court Appointed Juvenile Advocates). Led by Dealer Principal, Taylor Bentley Conner, over 100 dealership employees donated and delivered educational games, school supplies, office supplies and other operational and personal necessities to help inspire hope, foster change, and build stronger communities.

“We are delighted to once again join the largest, single-day volunteer effort in our tight knit community, and seeing the children and families whose lives we can positively impact,” shares Taylor Bentley Conner. “At Howard Bentley Buick GMC, everyone from our employees to vendors and customers are like family, and this extends to our neighbors who may need it most. While this is such an important day, it takes a steady commitment, and we are proud to maintain our dollar-for-dollar match for our employees’ own contributions to the United Way of Marshall County.”
Ms. Conner also serves as a volunteer in the United Way Campaign Cabinet each year joining other top executives and community leaders in setting benchmarks, implementing strategies, and monitoring outcomes within their respective areas of expertise. Cabinet responsibilities include reviewing campaign giving history of assigned accounts, account calls and goal setting including this year’s United Way campaign fundraising goal of $760,000 in Marshall County.
For more than 40 years, United Way of Marshall County has helped enrich community life by addressing critical issues. Volunteers and donors research the needs of the community and develop strategies for assisting people who need it most, including children, families and individuals. United Way of Marshall County provides funding for 19 partner agencies and programs that ensure the efficient use of donor dollars.
CAJA of Marshall County is an organization of volunteers that advocates for abused and neglected children in Marshall County's Court. A Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteer is an everyday hero appointed by the court to independently investigate the cases of these children and advocate for what is best for each child with the goal of a loving and safe home.
Howard Bentley Buick GMC supports local communities through charitable giving, volunteerism, and partnerships with organizations that share a vision for a better tomorrow. In 2023, the dealership donated over $200,000 to over 100 different local schools, community needs, local nonprofits and charities working on the front lines of poverty, education, and health while helping drive the growth and prosperity of Albertville and surrounding areas. The dealership’s community involvement reflects its core values: dedication, integrity, and cooperation in meeting the needs of the people they serve.
